Rajiv Gandhi Jeevandayee Arogya Yojana (RGJAY) is the flagship health insurance scheme launched by the State Government of Maharashtra. The scheme was launched on July 2, 2012. It was renamed as Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jan Arogya Yojana (MJPJAY) from 1st April 2017. In Phase I, the scheme was launched in 8 districts of Maharashtra. It was applied to the remaining 28 districts in Phase II in November 2013. The universal healthcare program targets to reach the poor people who hold one of the four cards (Antyodaya card, Annapurna card, yellow ration card or orange ration card) issued by Government of Maharashtra.

Motor Insurance Price Hike: Making The Best of The Situation
Insurance companies and policies are regulated by the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA) in India. The non-life insurance premium was increased from April 1, 2017. There is a change in the insurance premium of the comprehensive plan as well as third party plan. However, small cars whose engine size is less than 1000cc were exempted from the price hike. There is a marginal increase in car insurance premium for cars whose engine size is in between 1000 cc and 1500cc. Large vehicles and SUVs will pay the highest insurance premium which will be to the extent of 50%.
